What Clients Are Saying
"Shannon was an absolute godsend to both my daughter and my family. With great skill and compassion, she helped my daughter understand and take ownership of her eating disorder. This is no small feat when dealing with a teenager who had good intentions but who could not see that things were going dangerously off the rails. Shannon was patient yet firm and transparent. She didn't sugar-coat any information for my daughter. She partnered with my daughter in a way that empowered her to do the very hard work of healing and then thriving, while also feeling deeply supported. My daughter was concurrently working with a psychologist, and Shannon stayed in communication with the psychologist so that together they could provide a united and seamless front when managing my daughter's case. I was present at the first few meetings with Shannon, and then only on an as-needed basis. I had no qualms about allowing my young teen to visit independently with Shannon. In fact, to this day (3+ years later), they maintain a friendship and regular contact that warms my heart because I know how proud my daughter is that she has overcome a very difficult time in her life, and I know how genuinely proud Shannon is of my daughter for the same reason. And, that wouldn't have happened without Shannon's expert help. She knows her business and has a keen ability to relay the right kind and amount of information to her clients at the right time. She is truly interested in her patients as individuals. She does not treat this as a "one size fits all" type of therapy. I/we cannot thank Shannon enough for helping to guide our girl back to health and for giving her the tools that she continues to use, now as a collegiate away from home, to thrive in life!"

"In the dark depths of my eating disorder, Shannon guided me to the light at the end of the tunnel. Since recovery is never a linear process, she skillfully generated a sustainable plan to fit my lifestyle during and after treatment. Shannon provided the knowledgeable understanding of nutrition that I needed in a professional and personable manner. Not only did she consider the physical aspects of my situation, but she took care to recognize my psychological struggle. In doing so, Shannon helped me navigate the treacherous terrain of my relationship with food, exercise, and myself. Her exceptional effort to provide a holistic healing experience positively impacted my journey. Shannon saw me as more than another anorexia case. Unlike some healthcare professionals, she works alongside and entirely invests in her clients. Shannon's compassionate disposition provides a safe space for treatment in-person or virtually. Words will never encapsulate my gratitude for the balance and freedom her mentorship brought to my life. Shannon took the time to teach me that food is fuel and all foods can fit. Owing to Shannon's practice, I can confidently affirm that I am more than any number on the scale or package."

"Seeing our daughter struggle with an eating disorder is extremely difficult. As a parent, you want to solve the problem, and take away the stress & pain your child is experiencing. It is heartbreaking to see a person you love so much hurting. I am so thankful we found Shannon. She was the first person our daughter truly connected with in the treatment process. This is due to Shannon’s loving, caring, and genuine nature. She came alongside our daughter with the knowledge & experience of a talented RDN. I appreciate Shannon educating & communicating with me as well. I felt like I was receiving the same excellent care my daughter was getting. Shannon suggested to me, the parent, how I could best support my daughter. She helped our family work towards a balanced life of pleasant mealtimes, as well as, resuming activities that we love like hiking & skiing.”
-Johanna
“Shannon has also guided our daughter in the transition from home to college. She was very open & honest about potential challenges in dorm life & dining hall meals. Our daughter knows when she needs support that she can reach out to Shannon for a virtual session. Shannon is a gifted professional who also feels like a family friend. She is a huge blessing in our lives. We are forever thankful & grateful. We often say, “Shannon is from heaven!”

“Shannon has helped me create a healthy lifestyle, not only with a meal plan, but with patience, care, and endless support. She's helped me gain back my self-confidence, dignity, and most importantly, the ability to open up and trust again. Thank you so much for understanding and helping me."
"So many good things are happening in my life, my family, and my career. None of this would have been possible if it wasn't for you, Shannon. You saw my worth when I didn't know I had any. You saw me for me. You were the first person to tell me you were proud of me. I often look at my life and am astonished it's mine.
Thank you for always caring about me."

“Recovery from an eating disorder is a life-long process and never easy. While there will always be days when the voices seem louder and more prevalent, there will always be those people who will stand by and never stop offering help. Shannon is one of those people. I have dealt with anorexia and compulsive exercise for several years. Exercise has had this daunting power over me. However, after seeking help from Shannon, I have been enlightened. While being active is still a huge part of my life, it is just that...a part of my life. I now see that a balanced life is what brings joy to me. When I did need to hear a voice, it was more often Shannon's supportive words.”

“I was a mess, quickly losing the battle against anorexia. I desperately needed help. The moment I walked into Shannon’s office, Shannon’s love and compassion enveloped me like a warm blanket. Finally, someone whom I could trust, one who would walk beside me on the road to recovery. Each session we had; Shannon was present with me 100% of the time. I always left feeling uplifted, armed with my meal plan, mentally and emotionally strengthened by her presence. Shannon saw me as a real person with hopes of living a fulfilling life, not simply as someone who needed a meal plan.
The road to recovery isn’t always a smooth one, bumps and roadblocks appear. However, Shannon was right by my side when my sister died, when I was hospitalized, and when family strife occurred; Shannon kept me on the right path.
Shannon is completely devoted and invested in her clients and is an expert in her field. I am grateful beyond words for the privilege I have had to be on my recovery journey with Shannon. The impact Shannon has had on my life is monumental. I am a much better and healthier person because of her. Shannon is one of the finest persons I have met in my life. She is not just devoted to her family and her clients, but the community as well; and in doing good for all!
You will love working with her!”
